Top 10 Free Web Design Tools
Starting a web & social media design & management company with just an internet connection & a donated laptop, I know how it is to try to keep costs low and also cut expenses at the same time. There are so many Web Design Tools on the internet, many of them paid, but these 10 Free Web Design Tools I use constantly and are my favorite ones on the web.
Real time HTML viewer
This website gives you a visual view of your HTML coding design in real time. Never again code directly onto your site & stop refreshing to see your changes. Also gives you a chance to make sure your HTML coding is correct & working properly before you add it to your website. I have also been using it for creating Android Apps in HTML5.
Dafont.com
>DaFont.com is a great graphic design tool with loads & loads of free fonts & dingbats. Very easy to download to your graphic design software & the quality, depending on the font you pick, is very clean. You can also view every character before you download, so you don’t download anything you won’t use.
Pinterest.com
I use Pinterest.com as a social media tool to share my favorite things & promote my blog posts but for web design you ask? Pinterest can give you a bunch of brainstorming ideas (don’t steal any images, photos or graphics from Pinterest) but you can find many color scheme boards to help you use colors correctly along with finding unique & bright color palettes for you to use while you create your website or logo.
WordPress.com
I love WordPress, both WordPress.com & WordPress.org, which allows you to host a WordPress blog on your own domain and server. WordPress.com though allows you to design easy-to-navigate websites with the capability to customize your look with hundreds of free or paid themes. I run this website & my blog both on WordPress.com
Silhouettes
All-Silhouettes.com is a great website to get free vector images of different types of silhouettes to help bring your website or logo idea to life. From couple silhouettes to animals to scenery, this website has every type of image needed for you design a dynamic logo.
Freedigitalphotos.net
This stock photo website offers free photos for you to use for your website or blog, as long as you give credit to the creator of the image, which isn’t a bad thing since it helps boost SEO for both you & the creator. You can find hundreds of images & photographs on any type if subject, and if you cannot find an image that fits your needs, FreeDigitalPhotos.net suggests other images from other stock photos websites that you could use.
QR Code Converter
Links are clickable on the web but if you want to use a link in print ads, you have to type the link into your smartphone, which many people really don’t like doing. So using a Free QR Code Converter is a great way to place a link on any type of print work.
Instagram is a really awesome tool that takes regular photographs & turns them into unique images with the use of different types of filters. To enhance your blog or website, utilize Instagram by taking photographs to use on posts and pages. You won’t have to credit anyone for the image plus you are creating original content for your site which boosts SEO.
PPT Converter
Web Design is not just about graphics & images but also about diversity in web content. Creating videos can be a pain if you do not have the correct equipment, but using a PPT Converter can help you convert Power Point Presentation into a Video, which helps you have a more diverse website or blog, all the while boosting Search Engine Optimization.
Pandora
Okay, so this technically isn’t a “tool”, but I use Pandora on a daily basis while I am creating graphics & images. Music boosts creativity & puts you in the “zone”, which is key when you want to create graphics in a timely matter. Plus, rocking out while designing makes the time go by much quicker & makes work feel like play.
Designing a dynamic web or logo design for your business or personal blog doesn’t have to be an expensive venture. You just need to know where to look to find the top free web design tools.
